Research interests
I have many interests, but my current goal is to develop population-genetic methods to understand genetic data. In particular, I am interested extending coalescent theory in both theoretical and practical directions.
Although my training is in pure mathematics-- topology and geometry-- I am falling in love with the subject of stochastic processes. So far, my knowledge is restricted to Markov processes on a countable state space, but this is certainly the case of relevance for population models.
